Model Context Protocol

The whole library, inside your assistant.

Connect Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any MCP client to Cyber Library in one step. Your assistant searches thousands of pages, reads them as markdown and answers from the real content, with links back to the source. Read-only, public, no key.

No account · No API key · Free

bash
claude mcp add --transport http cyber-library https://www.cyberlibrary.com/api/mcp

Why connect it

Answers from the source, not guesses

The assistant reads the actual page before it answers, and cites the URL so you can verify it.

Every topic, one connection

Thousands of published pages across offensive, defensive, governance, intelligence and more, plus the editorial plan of what is coming.

Set up in seconds

Paste one URL. No account, no key, no server to run. Works with every major MCP client.

Ask it anything about security

Once connected, your assistant uses the library on its own. For example:

  • Explain how Kerberoasting works and link me the page.
  • Walk me through a container escape from a privileged container.
  • Compare SQL injection detection techniques from the library.
  • Outline the offensive web section so I know what to study.
  • What does the library plan to cover on Active Directory next?

Connect in one step

Pick your client. Most accept the endpoint directly; stdio-only clients use the mcp-remote bridge.

Endpoint

url
https://www.cyberlibrary.com/api/mcp

Claude Code

  1. Run this once in a terminal, then just ask about a topic.
bash
claude mcp add --transport http cyber-library https://www.cyberlibrary.com/api/mcp

Claude Desktop and claude.ai

  1. Settings, then Connectors, then Add custom connector. Name it Cyber Library and paste the endpoint. No authentication.

ChatGPT

  1. Settings, then Connectors, then Advanced, turn on Developer mode. Create a connector, name it Cyber Library and paste the endpoint.

Cursor

  1. Add this to .cursor/mcp.json in your project (or the global ~/.cursor/mcp.json).

.cursor/mcp.json

json
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "cyber-library": {
      "url": "https://www.cyberlibrary.com/api/mcp"
    }
  }
}

Windsurf

  1. Open the MCP servers panel from Cascade, edit the raw config and add this entry.

mcp_config.json

json
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "cyber-library": {
      "url": "https://www.cyberlibrary.com/api/mcp"
    }
  }
}

VS Code and GitHub Copilot

  1. Add this to .vscode/mcp.json; Copilot agent mode picks up the tools.

.vscode/mcp.json

json
{
  "servers": {
    "cyber-library": {
      "type": "http",
      "url": "https://www.cyberlibrary.com/api/mcp"
    }
  }
}

Any stdio-only client

  1. Bridge the endpoint with mcp-remote. npx downloads it on first run.
json
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "cyber-library": {
      "command": "npx",
      "args": [
        "-y",
        "mcp-remote",
        "https://www.cyberlibrary.com/api/mcp"
      ]
    }
  }
}

The tools it gets

Six read-only tools cover search, reading and navigation.

  • search_libraryFull-text search over published pages; returns paths and URLs.
  • get_pageA page as markdown with title, URL, breadcrumbs, last update and children.
  • list_topicsDirect children of a folder, or the top-level sections.
  • get_outlineIndented outline of a branch down to a chosen depth.
  • search_planned_topicsSearch the editorial plan, drafts included, with status.
  • get_planned_subtreePlanned taxonomy below a topic, with kind and status.

Good to know

  • Stateless Streamable HTTP, MCP 2026-07-28 with fallback for 2025-era clients. No sessions, no authentication.
  • Pages are served in English unless a translation exists; tools take an optional locale.
  • Content is community work under an open license. Keep the page URLs in answers so readers reach the source.
